The college, an Institution for the advancement of Legal Education and it is run by DURGAPUR SOCIAL AND EDUCATION TRUST (DSET). Ten acres of prime land has been obtained from Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA), exclusively for the purpose of setting up the college.

The Law College is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. The College provides well-secured Residential facilities to the outstation girl and boys students coming from different regions of India and abroad. Separate boys and girls hostel facility is available very much within the main campus of the College.
