The classrooms are not only bright and well-ventilated but also are acoustically designed. The furniture and décor of each classroom have been meant for different student groups to facilitate improved teaching and learning. The college stresses on quality classroom teaching. Each classroom is armed with display boards and modern audio-visual aids, appropriate for technology-based learning.
Moot Court activities are one of the thrust areas of the Durgapur Institute of the Legal Studies. The College makes every effort to put together the theory and practice of Law in the campus by arranging series of regular, bimonthly, compulsory moot court sessions. The students are taught to enhance their analytical, research, oratory and writing skills which would aid them to be successful in their careers.
The College has Moot Court Halls which help makes available the suitable atmosphere for the students to practice their mooting proficiency. The Moot Court Rooms of the College are proficiently armed with the modern infrastructure and facilities.
It is a globally accepted truth that the education of law entails developing an interest in reading. A learner of law should read newspaper and books on issues of social importance, biographies, world history and classic and modern fiction. In order hammer and instill this habit of reading, the Law College manages and maintains one of the best libraries. The library offers the appropriate ambience suitable for reading and research. The foremost features of the said law library is that it contains collected works of various authors (both National and International) on all subjects, latest and complete set of All India Reporter along with twelve other International, National and State Reports, journals, magazines and updates of annual, quarterly, monthly, fortnightly and weekly nature.
The Law College has a fully air-conditioned Seminar Hall. It has a huge seating capacity. The seminar hall is very well-ventilated with comfortable seating arrangement. The Seminar Hall is used for events such as Guest Lectures, Seminars, Symposia, Orientation Program, and Convocation etc. The Seminar Hall has been bystander to the presence of some senior judges, advocates and academics from the field of law.
The whole Campus of the Law College is Wi-Fi (wireless friendly) enabled. To stumble upon the budding challenge of internet usage and e-learning, the centre supports faculty and students in their research. The College is abode to a highly modern and technology driven Computer Centre which is accessible for our faculty members and students in their research. The Computer Centre is proficiently armed with most up-to-date software of All India Reporter, Supreme Court Cases, Delhi Law Times and 1000 Bare Acts and with CDs along with the enacted and up-to-the-minute legislation in India. The Computer Centre is fully equipped with 24 hr internet facility to afford students with plentiful chance to develop their competency and augment their knowledge.
The Law College has instituted a Legal Aid Committee. Legal Aid and Literacy Cell is one of the foremost high-flying committee of College and as well as of the whole Durgapur city, which has been to a large extent participated in the activities of generating awareness among the people about law and its related facets. The abovementioned activities are done as maintained by the necessities of Legal Education.
